Part Time Assistant, Merchandising/Product Development

Deconic, the jewelry division of Brooks Brothers, seeks a Part Time Merchandising/Product Development Assistant located at our Industry City offices. The Merchandising/PD assistant is responsible for assisting the Brand Manager on daily tasks. They work directly with the Brand Manager to help facilitate the product lifecycle on a variety of brands/licenses.
Accountabilities:
• Sample coordination and management for a wide range of business needs (ie: photo-shoots, market requests, quality control, etc.)
• Market preparation – assist in line-sheet creation and showroom setup
• Attend meetings with cross-functional departments to keep up-to-date with individual account needs and development phases
• Gather product knowledge for eCommerce and/or various account needs
• Assist in costing stages and recording sample revisions to be turned over to vendors
• Support Brand Manager on new projects/business opportunities
• Daily administrative updating
Skills/Requirements
Preferred Experience & Technical Proficiency:
• 0-2 years experience in related field
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Internship and/or Retail experience
• Interest in Fashion and/or Jewelry preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Knowledge of SAP system a plus
• Eager to learn
• Strong ability to multi task
