This position provides hands-on project planning and management for the U.S. Marketing team to ensure project goals and objectives are achieved on time and on budget. This role will work closely with the US team to support the creative workload and project prioritization for the US Marketing department. They will also act as the primary contact with external vendors, partners & manufactures. This role requires the ability to work independently and regularly make significant decisions using judgment and discretion. In order to meet the basic duties and responsibilities of the job, the employee in this position must spend the majority of his or her work time planning, negotiating, representing the company, advising management, purchasing materials and supplies, researching business opportunities, and analyzing processes & procedures. In addition, this person must possess strong organizational skills, outstanding communication skills, sound judgment and decision-making skills, a passion for meeting planning, and embrace the Marketing Department can-do attitude and spirit.
Basic Duties & Responsibilities:
• Design and create integrated project management process for Marketing Team to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Develop and maintain overall project plans & schedules by setting & reevaluating project milestones.
• Conduct department status update meetings on a regular basis.
• Proactively alert team members when projects may be in jeopardy to ensure team meets key deliverables on time & budget.
• Act as the primary contact with external vendors. Partner with retail marketing managers to deliver project briefs and job details to vendors.
• Work with vendors to negotiate rates and identify new, innovative, cost-cutting options to reduce spend.
• Manage project-bidding and sourcing processes.
• Drive all A Launch Timelines to ensure actions are completed & deliverables are met.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years project management & event planning/execution experience required
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational & analytical skills.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient graphic design skills: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and/& InDesign
• College degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to attend various corporate conferences and events (including air travel)
• Travel as required
