VP of Sales - OPG Golf
SUMMARY
The VP of Sales- OPG Golf will manage sales, operations, financial planning and profitability for the Original Penguin channel of distribution for Green Grass & Off Course. Direct and manage a team of inside sales, and independent reps; and interact with merchandise, design, sourcing and marketing.
Sales - manage all sales channels within Green Grass, including – independent accounts, golf management groups, tournaments, events and staff programs.
Operations and Services – Overall responsibility to liaison and guide customer service, credit department, embroidery department, logistics teams and marketing teams in regard to all aspects of the Green Grass, Off Course, Tournaments, Events and Staff Program businesses.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Budgeting, forecasting and analyzing sales, gross profit and all other business expenses
• Responsible to regularly review the business profitability and suggest ways to improve
• Prepares any financial analysis that requires to manage the business, including any request from upper management
• Works with merchandise and design to develop proper line assortment
• Manage both retail and wholesale planning to ensure product availability, most effective inventory levels and best inventory management
• Manage customer service with all accounts
• Develops specific account plans working with retail planning team and sales manager
• Presents product assortment and financial plan to customers
• Prepares sales contracts (buys) within accordance of the buy calendar and presents this to production planning
• Collects and reviews all pertinent retail sales information from accounts and updates all internal review forms and reviews this information with retail planning and sales managers.
• Monitor flow and on hands of both fashion and basic inventory with wholesale planning and make necessary recommendations
• Visit all major retail accounts quarterly working with buying offices (including their planning dept.) to discuss current and future business as well as and making necessary recommendations to the accounts as well as product feedback to Perry Ellis merchandise and design.
• Work with marketing depts. to develop and execute marketing and promotional plans. Ensure brand image is consistent with set goals
• Formulate rolling 12 month business plan in units and dollars for PEI finance team.
• Develop strong relationships and grow the business with all golf management groups.
• Create financial programs that will enable PEI to become preferred business partners with each management group while maximizing revenues and profitability for PEI.
• Track and review sales for each management group and submit royalty and commission fees as required for each contract.
• Develop relationship with Tournament and Golf Events organizers and directors and Negotiate with them on future tournaments and events.
• Ensure product offering meets the needs of tournament channel each season.
• Collaborate with operations, customer service, warehouse and embroidery to ensure all tournament requirements are met.
• Prepare and submit plans for staff program for each sales territory, communicate annual plan with each territory sales representative and track progress, challenges and opportunities.
• Overall responsibility to Catalog and POS development.
• Overall responsibility to liaison and guide customer service, embroidery department and credit department in regard to all aspects of the various channels of distribution and business.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
• 10 + years of proven experience in Green Grass apparel sales
• Experience and relationships with National Accounts a plus
