• Production Artwork (80%)
• Manage all production art flow in assigned SBU area. Responsible for the creation of production-ready graphic and print specifications.
• Responsible for the creation of production-ready graphic and print specifications.
• Process includes the preparation of Graphic and Print Artwork files, making adjustments to layout and sizing, modifying all over textile artwork, applying color call outs, and clear communication of other essential production details.
• Responsible for making creative changes to Graphic Artwork or modifications to Textile Art that will either make product easier or cost effective to produce in bulk.
• Utilize knowledge of raw materials and factory capabilities to choose the most successful production technique that will execute the Graphic and Textile Art in bulk, based on designs vision.
• Responsible for all Production Art file management. (i.e releasing to external vendors and all file management on internal servers.)
• Manage all revisions to Production Art files and maintaining accurate records of file changes for cross-functional teams and overseas partners.
• Maintain open communication and working relationship with cross functional partners (Graphics and CAD Teams, Design, PDC, Merchandising, and Technical Design). Attend any cross-functional meetings.
• Line Catalog (10%)
• Collaborate with Merchandising and Des ign to create Line Sheets in InDesign & create Line Boards in PLM systems
• Responsible for all management and maintenance of all Line Sheets and Line Boards on internal servers.Collaborate with Sales & CopyCenter to produce Sales Catalogs and Top Account Catalogs
• Responsible for releasing line sheets to outside vendors.
• Collaborate with Sales & Copy Center to produce Sales Catalogs and Top Account Catalogs.
• Creative Functions (10%)
• Reproduce purchased art files in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Develop inspiration packet for Leadership & Cross Functional distribution
• Assist with development and maintenance of Design & Art master color palettes
• Resolve image issues for printing during creative and leadership meetings
• Photograph & Archive images of purchased samples
• Photograph seasonal inspiration displays for Creative kick-off and Sales Meeting
Experience and Skills
• Bachelors degree required
• 3-7 yrs of experience in a related area of apparel production or licensed product development
• Intermediate knowledge of Adobe suites, mainly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required
• Working knowledge of apparel and licensed product development techniques and how to communicate these directions to overseas vendors (i.e. garment construction, technical knowledge of rotary print/ screen print/ embroidery techniques, factory limitations and production tolerances)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple projects while completing deadlines
• Highly motivated to maintain consistency, accuracy and quality in a demanding environment
