Overview
Eastbay is searching for a Production Artist as part of the Team Sales division. Production Artists create production files for screen printing, embroidery and tackle twill applications. A Production Artist maintains a high rate of speed and accuracy while working in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Creates vector artwork for screen printing applications and provides proper files for production.
• Generates freehand drawings for orders, as needed.
• Creates stitch files for embroidery applications, using stock files. Applies appropriate underlays and thread sequences to each order and provides proper files for production.
• Creates stitch and laser files for tackle twill applications, utilizing stock fonts. Applies appropriate thread sequence and provides proper files for production.
• Creates artwork for direct-to-garment applications.
• Generates accurate artwork proofs for customer approval and production use. Follows pre-established guidelines to ensure proofs adhere to Eastbay quality and branding standards.
• Proofs each order for quality and accuracy prior to submission for approval. Adheres to high accuracy standards.
• Revises artwork, as requested by Team Services sales representatives.
• Generates Team Services flyers and online web store images.
• Saves all artwork files generated in accordance with company guidelines.
• Coordinates incoming orders and rush requests, as needed.
• Provides customer service to Team Services sales representatives, as needed, to ensure orders flow through as efficiently as possible.
• Works directly with the Customization Department, as needed, to resolve any artwork issues that arise during production, ensuring orders flow through in an efficient manner.
• Follows a production timeline to ensure tasks are being completed by their scheduled due dates. Immediately communicates any issues that may jeopardize a due date with supervisor.
• Participates in the creative development of additional assigned projects based upon pre-established guidelines, instructions and aesthetic design concepts.
Qualifications
An Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
