Manager, Print Production – Environmental Design:

This is a great opportunity for individuals that like to roll up their sleeves and get down to business! How does this work? Is there a better way to make this functional? How can this be produced more efficiently in order to save money and time? Questions like these are constantly being asked by the Manager of Print Production and are thoughtfully processed and solved by that individual as well. If this sounds like a role you would be interested in taking control of, then this could be the best gig in the world for you. The individual who fulfills this role will be a part of a creative led team comprised of environmental designers and production managers. Their main objective? Driving print and other creative production, window collateral, and props to Vans retail & wholesale partners throughout the nation and beyond. Vans is determined to keep creating authentic and fashionable products that can be appreciated by creative expressers in the action sports, music, art, and street culture communities. As long as we keep our ambitious nature alive, we will never stop at reaching towards higher goals that will benefit both our devoted employees and consumers.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Manage the printing, sourcing and production of retail window and in-store visual assets, value engineering items and shipping to save time and money. Manage the printing and production of wholesale monthly POP, as well as requested wholesale, event and tradeshow graphics. Discover environmentally thoughtful resources and substrates that we can implement in production. Help creative teams to use their imaginations and visualize alternative and effective ways to get their work created while remaining on schedule and on budget. Consistently hitting deliverable dates and building a high standard of communication with internal partners and external vendors and customers. Creating the best practices to gain better efficiencies in order to have continuous improvement. Work with Production department to complete graphic and structural installs when needed.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 years in retail and/or wholesale print production.
Educational/ Position Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of general management experience in the field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Extensive experience working in Print Production and the industry.
• Understanding of store design, branding and presentation concepts; understand how each affect the customer experience

• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to produce innovative, unique concepts for product presentation
• Produce quality work and complete projects in a consistent, timely and organized manner from concept through implementation
• Must have ability to communicate and convey ideas and concepts with all levels of company personnel including executive management
• Strong interpersonal and management/leadership skills
• Detail oriented and able to multi task to manage multiple projects, set goals, and prioritize tasks
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe Design Suite required
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Travel by air and overnight, as required amount of time.
• Lifting and/or bending amount of weight.
