Overview
The Freelance Digital Copywriter will be responsible for researching and crafting all copy for Tiffany.com, which directly impacts the experience and how Tiffany & Co. presents and explains its products to customers and prospects across all web properties; including online experience content, end-user instructions and web performance related content. This individual will focus on on-site logic, features and functionality, as well as embody the “Tiffany Voice" for any future maintenance and enhancements projects. S/he will be responsible for daily interactions with the following departments: Marketing, Merchandising, Sales, Digital Commerce, Omnichannel and Legal.
Responsibilities
The Freelance Digital Copywriter will be responsible for copywriting such as developing online technical/functional copy for Tiffany.com (US and International). S/he will work on web pages, modules with special product or marketing focus, product descriptions, and end-user instructions. S/he will create online marketing copy for Tiffany Business Sales pages. S/he will define online copy style guidelines, best practices and strategy including brand language and rules around onsite institutional copy to support current and future state of Tiffany.com. This individual will work on other tasks including but not limited to naming of new site features (e.g. Concierge, My account, etc.), developing language around dynamic shopping features (e.g. Find in store), defining terminology around personalization and customization and helping to define logic around CTAs.
The Freelance Digital Copywriter will support the content migration and maintenance. S/he will maintain existing product descriptions and aligning with new naming conventions, word counts and SEO strategy. This individual will work on direct migration or modification of all other institutional content, e.g. Headers, section copy, fixed elements, shipping and returns, t&cs, etc. in-line with current and new sitemap. S/he will amend existing content in collaboration with the wider team where required. S/he will collaborate with the Digital Commerce and Omnichannel team on language for product and service recommendations that are personalized to the user.
This individual will maintain key communication within the Experience Design and Digital Commerce teams to develop onsite and logic copy. S/he will parter with Legal for trademark and registration marks for all online functional copy.
Qualifications
• At least 5 to 10 years of copywriting experience.
• Must have a deep understanding of luxury brands.
• Must have a deep understanding of content strategy and e-commerce.
• Experience with retail marketing and familiarity with competitive brand marketing.
• Must be a conceptual thinker and able to generate highly engaging and creative copy.
• Competency in writing accurate, grammatically correct compelling copy.
• Competency in writing longer narrative and short-form copy.
• Ability to juggle numerous projects and fast turnaround of deliverables.
• Must have a working awareness of a broad spectrum of idioms and digital language.
• Ability to think creatively and logically to develop multiple solutions for a single assignment.
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate.
• PC, MAC, Excel, Word proficiency.
