Anthropologie Assistant Store Brand Leader - 3rd Ave, New York
The Assistant Store Brand Leader supports the Store Brand Leader to lead a profitable and customer-centric
environment through the successful development of a team. They manage designated areas of responsibility including; hiring
and developing talent, maintaining consistent store controls, and applying merchant skills to curate a compelling
customer experience.
REPORTS TO: Store Brand Leader
LEADERSHIP
• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
• Possesses strong assessment and decision-making skills
• Is an entrepreneur, takes smart risks with measurable results
• Provides global insight in relationship to the customer experience and communicates information to the Store Brand Leader
• Acts as a liaison between leadership/associate teams and Store Manager by filtering communication of all store operations, process, and customer initiatives
• Builds and maintains productive partnerships
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
• Partners with the Store Brand Leader to recruit, hire and retain top talent to build bench for the store and brand
• Contributes assessments and ideas for succession strategy to the Store Brand Leader
• Facilitates a thorough and thoughtful orientation of New Hires
• Facilitates meetings and workshops that are well-planned, collaborative, educational and motivational
• Administers performance appraisals, sets goals and conducts consistent touch-bases with direct reports
• Ensures that coaching and counseling is consistent and timely
• Takes responsibility for own development and professional growth, identifies and trains replacement in preparation for career progression
CUSTOMER CONNECTION
• Cultivates an environment of genuine customer connection
• Demonstrates extraordinary service, leading by example on the sales floor
• Acts as a brand ambassador reflective of the company values and aesthetic
• Understands multi-channel business - implements processes and utilizes tools to better service the customer
• Utilizes personal stylists and/or fitting room experts to elevate service, outfitting, and team development of these skills
• Supports with engagement of local community via events and social media platforms
AESTHETIC UNDERSTANDING & APPLICATION
• Executes stock-to-sales processes and presentation standards
• Has a strong understanding of trend and style that is reflective of the brand and local core customer
• Manages stock-to-sales processes and upholds presentation standards
• Partners with the Store Brand Leader, Visual Merchandising Manager, and Assistant Visual Merchandising Manager to assess and impact merchandising, floor planning, display and outfitting
• Develops team to connect brand aesthetic with store Social Media platforms
• Ensures the merchandising processes are collaborative, supported and well-planned
