The XM Site Merchant is responsible for the digital merchandising of ae.com. This site merchant will partner with cross-functional teams such as business site merchants, web production and content authors, digital marketing and analytics, among others to optimize the online shopping experience for AE and aerie brands. This site merchant will work in the oracle based tool Experience Manager (XM) to merchandise category navigation and shops, publish site creative and control other shopping tools like filtering, search and product spotlights to ensure overall omni-channel business strategies are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Site Execution and Coordination
• Partner with site merchandising leadership to optimize online shopping experience to drive digital sales growth and improve conversion
• Ensure accuracy of site content through close coordination with cross functional teams (ex. business site merchants, web production, content authors and digital marketing) and management of workflow systems (ex. JIRA)
• Analyze site performance and participate in business discussions with cross functional team
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at a time within the XM merchandising tool
Product/Customer Experience
• Own the digital merchandising for AE & aerie brands for multiple country sites across mobile, desktop & app
• Utilize product attribution to create shops and unique customer experiences on site
• Enhance product pages and drive conversion through optimization of filter and sort capabilities
• Adjust strategy and/or execution based on customer feedback, competitor actions, in-stock shifts/product availability and other dynamic considerations
• Responsible for reviewing preview site, QA of same and signing off on all pushes before they go live on the website
• Influence search results to push high margin products up the search results page, partnering w/ SEO team to maximize search options
• Manage webset/guide links for site and ensure timely hand-off to production
• Work with optimization & UX team to create, implement and read testing results
• Execute to all site/digital deadlines
• Experience with Experience Manager (XM) interface preferred
Analytics
• Actively analyze site performance in partnership with analytics team to provide insight to cross functional teams on a weekly basis.
• Leverage analytic insights to optimize site performance
• Work in Omniture to understand and analyze the business, including but not limited to: marketing messages & placement, search terms, shopping paths, shop & filter performance
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Web Development, Business Administration, or related field
• 3-5 years buying, planning, web development or digital retail merchandising experience
• Experience analyzing website metrics and optimizing merchandising to drive sales
• Experience working with buying and planning organizations
• Demonstrate understanding of online vs. in-store shopping behaviors and habits
• Strong business acumen
• In-depth analytical skills and results oriented
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and/or holidays
• Experience with HTML or CMS, a plus
• Experience with Experience Manager (XM) or Endeca, a plus
