REPORTS TO: Manager- Global Store Communication
SUPERVISES: N/A
This position is responsible for the management of store/field workload and communication for all brands.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee all communications to the Field
• Strategically plan communication for stores including all testing communication
• Create and manage execution of Communication Plans
• Write field communications. Ensure that office to field communication flows to the intended recipients in an efficient, clear and executable manner that takes corporate priorities (sales, the Brand, EPS), scheduled workload and fixed/seasonal events into consideration at all times
• Through communication, improve store execution rate of company priorities and initiatives
• Create, establish and reinforce Field Communication Standards
• Review and edit major communication projects from Store Ops and other departments.
• Streamline all IT applications that deliver communication, pricing information and reporting to the Stores
• Investigate and develop roadmap and implementation of new and innovative communication tools and vehicles
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to gain feedback and adjust execution of Communication & Workload
• Works with cross functional teams to ensure clear and accurate communication is sent to the field
• Provide accurate Field and Operational points of view on company initiatives.
• Gatekeep all field workload and works with cross functional business partners to ensure workload is manageable from season to season
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
• Lead store focus groups and cross functional teams to accomplish project objectives through written communication, conference calls & meeting presentations.
• Respond quickly to miscellaneous field issues during and after business hours
AUTHORITY:
• Negotiate with outside vendors and create purchase orders
• Approve invoices up to $25,000
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Business Communications, Technical Writing or related field.
• Prior retail experience.
• High degree of proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint); Outlook & Internet Applications, Adobe Acrobat InDesign, Photoshop, Access experience a plus
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly adept at rules of writing, grammar, syntax and editing
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
