MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
One of the most influential designers in the world, Marc Jacobs continues to unabashedly shape the boundaries of American fashion. He breathes new life and electric energy into all of his creations, in fashion and fragrance. As a global leader in the fragrance industry, Marc Jacobs continues to inspire consumers with groundbreaking designs, unexpected moments of story-telling, and a unique surprise factor. The Marc Jacobs Global Marketing team is looking for an innovative thought leader who is passionate about making a ‘marc’ in the beauty industry.
This position works closely with the Senior Marketing Director to develop and execute global marketing plans and strategies.
• Participates in the conceptual development of product and marketing programs.
• Helps lead conceptual development of launch/marketing support programs with internal and external teams (e.g. Creative, Digital, Merchandising, Public Relations, Education, Creative Consultant, Agencies) and local markets via ongoing communication.
• Partners with cross functional groups to bring new programs to market on time and in line with business objectives; initiates and manages cross-functional meetings as needed.
• Regularly communicates with Marc Jacobs fashion team on projects updates
• Prepares all paperwork to initiate new projects and development of all support elements. (Includes but not limited to gate meetings, offerings, briefs to cross functional partners, POs)
• Performs ad hoc analyses as needed to drive business decisions.
• Stays abreast of market and consumer trends, global and local.
• Manage daily requests from markets and support groups.
• Prepares presentations and recap notes for various meetings. (licensor, global sales meetings, senior management meetings, etc.)
THE COTY IDEAL FIT
• Position requires creativity and knowledge of global market and consumer trends, as well as a passion for the industry.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills combined with a high level of creativity and curiosity.
• Strong project management skills. Ability to lead a cross-functional team and work with and through others to achieve common goals.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-starter who takes a proactive approach with a sense of urgency to ensure all deliverables are met.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment, without losing attention to detail.
• 3+ years of marketing experience in beauty global marketing & product development, fragrance experience preferred
• Education, 4-year undergraduate Degree, or equivalent.
• Global experience within Beauty or Luxury a plus.
