About the Role:
The Director of Business Development and Strategy will be an integral member of the R29 Business Development & Strategy team, helping to shaping the company strategy across everything from media, to content, to live events, to consumer products, and working to source, analyze, negotiate, and close key strategic partnerships to bring this strategy to life. Must be a proactive self-starter, with extremely robust analytical and strategic thinking skills, who can build strong relationships across multiple groups and functions at R29 on a variety of strategic initiatives
This is a prime opportunity for an experienced professional who would like to work on large scale strategy, business development and partnerships for one of the largest independent media brands for Millennials. What you'll do:
• Help shape and communicate company strategy, working hand-in-hand with key stakeholders
• Work with team to source new strategic partnerships across media, content, live events, consumer products
• Analyze, evaluate, negotiate, and obtain internal support for new partnerships
• Help to manage key strategic relationships
• Manage P&L for new initiatives as appropriate
What you have
• Minimum 2 years management consulting at top-tier firm
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industry (preferably media, live events, consumer goods)
• Ability to build strong x-functional relationships
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Good negotiation, and partner management skills
• Passion for the Refinery29 brand and cause
• MBA a plus
