Position Overview:
Serves as the overall lead for the ecommerce Operations team for maurices and drives the strategic vision and execution of the ongoing platform evolution, ongoing management and support for www.maurices.com; including managing the relationship with Ascena Shared Services partners as well as the third party call center partners.
Duties
• Works to explore business needs and define platform priorities and a long term enhancement roadmap to meet future business requirements and enable revenue growth to meet/exceed business targets. Works with internal stakeholders as well as third party providers and agencies to create and manage a comprehensive platform roadmap to enable future channel growth.
• Is responsible for ensuring that all platform-related projects are delivered on time and on budget.
• Has ultimate responsibility for ensuring that customer service issues are resolved; and fulfillment vendor ships products on-time to meet customer expectations.
• Manages third-party vendor relationships for fulfillment, call center, and ongoing platform operations to meet business needs. (10% of time)
• Works with Ascena Shared Services and IT leadership on the overall eCommerce platform vision across multiple Ascena brands; and ensures that maurices brand needs are incorporated into and satisfied by shared services projects that touch eCommerce; including fulfillment center; shared eCommerce platform components; and store/eCommerce shared initiatives such as Distributed Order Management and inventory management projects.
• Ensure brand specific requirements are met or exceeded.
• Works in partnership with Digital Analytics team to inform site performance and use predictive analytics to define future needs for call centers, testing, site enhancements.
• Manages and grows the team that reports to him/her. This includes working with direct reports to establish expectations and growth strategies and providing regular (formal and informal) feedback relating to their work and established goals/strategies.
• Responsible for providing strategic overviews and status updates to senior leadership team members (at the Direct, Agency, and ELT level).
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred 7-10 years of overall Ecommerce operations expertise (technology and business process).
Experience / Requirements:
• Must have 7-10+ years of experience in building and leading teams involving extensive digital/mobile strategy development, user experience, and site merchandising
• Proven experience leading Ecommerce process and optimization.
• Rich experience in supporting business objectives through the development of process, tools, systems and teams.
• Excellent analytical, management and communication skills, both written and oral, to synthesize key issues, develop strategies and process, communicate and persuade constituencies towards specific optimized processes and working partnerships.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to empowerment
• Quick study of complex problems and a highly organized approach to finding high impact solutions
• Team player with a collaborative approach who shares success
• Experience with ATG eCommerce platform / BCC management preferred
• HTML and strong information architecture (search, navigation, taxonomy)
• Strong management and leadership experience
• Ability to work actively with a team and cross-functionally to solve issues and/or create opportunities
