Overview
Foot Locker, Inc., the world's leading retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst of Reporting. This position supports reporting function at Foot Locker, Inc. The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Corporate Reporting team by completing certain month end closing procedures. Includes general ledger account reconciliation and analysis, as well prepares analytical variance analysis on certain P&L accounts. This position also supports the SEC reporting group on various projects, such as quarterly and annual footnote detail preparation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Strong basic accounting skills
• Preparation and analysis of various account reconciliations
• Work with the other corporate areas to ensure accurate reporting of the financial statements
• Prepare monthly reporting packages
• Monthly analysis of corporate expenses
• Preparation of account reconciliations and analysis of account activity
• Track foreign exchange rates
• Preparation of certain standalone financial statements and coordination of the annual audit of such financial statements
• Preparation of workpapers supporting certain of the financial sections of the annual and quarterly reports
• Manage the Foot Locker Foundation activity, which includes the tracking of pledges, issuing check requests, and maintaining the related financial statements
• Ability to evaluate current procedures, and design and implement changes, through automation or other enhancements, in order to improve operational efficiency, while ensuring sufficient checks and balances
• Ad hoc requests in the area of accounting and controls
• Interact with external and internal auditors, as well as other corporate departments
RELATED COMPETENCIES AND JOB SKILLS:
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Must be able to think critically to make accounting judgments
• Good organizational skills
• Must be able to work and interact well with others
• Ability to accept direction, while capable of taking tasks to completion
• Excellent writing, verbal communication, analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have two years to five years accounting or auditing experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a degree in Business Administration (Accounting) required, related certification (CPA) is preferred
