Summary:
The impact of the role is significant in terms of direct impact on business results. The position will coordinate all inputs to the creation of the product forecasts, its reconciliation to the Brand Financial Forecast and its balancing with operational constraints. Interaction will frequently be at the senior levels in the brand organization. Manage and oversee direct and indirect demand planners. Drive process consistency within the TR demand planning team.
Responsibilities:
• 40% Builds consensus with stakeholders by presenting a clear business case that integrates brand and product knowledge during Demand Review, Consensus, TR-SIOP meetings.
• Responsible to drive the TR-SIOP meeting for the DP related sections
• Represents TR Demand Planning in Corporate SIOP
• Drives, supports and provides the base for Scenario Planning
• Creates a hero product centric approach
• 25% Responsible for managing direct reports as well as sponsoring and leading transition projects such as statistical forecasting.
• 25% Responsible for demand planning. Develops and proposes solutions that anticipate and respond to customer needs.
• Make forecasts adjustments on basic products based on trend and Brand strategy by utilizing statistical forecasts, sell-thru trend, markets intelligences, and incorporating halo and cannibalization assumptions.
• Develops new product forecasts in tandem with Marketing, with reference to sales plans and analysis of performance of like products in the Brand environment. Reviews forecasts with management.
• 10% Develops and improves reports and processes, engage the team to ensure processes are standardized and utilized within the Demand Planning team in regards to important KPI and overall SMI/SAP use.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
•Experienced, results-driven and hands-on Demand Planning professional who is comfortable operating in complex and diverse environments and has a proven track record of managing teams, enhancing efficiency and upgrading the demand planning function in an organization of size and complexity.
•He/she should have high energy and a creative approach to problem solving, which will require an executive who is highly intelligent, analytical, a quick study, and a collaborative team player with exceptionally strong leadership skills.
•A minimum of 10 years’ supply chain management experience within FMCG/ retail/ other B2C organizations, part of which would ideally have been gained within a “best in class” supply chain organizations.
•A leader and people manager with the ability to build teams, coach and develop staff at all levels.
•Ability to lead and implement complex change management and transformation initiatives.
•Ability to manage ambiguity would be critical to enhancing the position’s impact.
