Position Summary: This positon will provide exceptional and high touch administrative assistance to the SVP of Global Consumer and Product Marketing. In addition, the person will proactively manage Global Marketing projects and get exposure to all parts of global marketing. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and collaborative team and learn global marketing from one of the most highly regarded teams in the skincare business. This position has multiple avenues for growth within La Mer or Estee Lauder Companies.
Responsibilities:
•Provide executive and confidential administrative assistance to the SVP, including travel/expenses
•Manage the overall project flow of the team including marketing project support assistance and department support for meetings, conference calls, expenses, etc. Manage material / products for all meetings (internal and external) including PPD (Products, Packaging, Design), touch bases and international conference calls.
•Special marketing projects include maintaining and updating competitive advertising/competitive products/competitive samples/competitive collateral and promotional vehicles.
•Assist in marketing analytics including market share, NPD, pricing reviews
•Assists the team in competitive reviews, category reviews, market sizing, and consumer feedback; leads semi-annual Ratings and Reviews.
•Regular inter-department interface to drive marketing initiatives forward. Compile pertinent marketing materials for international markets to manage their businesses.
•Help develop Power Point presentations for key meetings, such as sales meetings and strategy meetings with Senior Management.
•Help lead Marketing event planning
•To enhance consumer and Expert insights, attends Education training and works in the field 2 times per year.
•Coordinate necessary documents, projections and product samples needed for events/meetings. Responsible for setting up meetings.
•Coordinate International Workshops, Retailer Presentations, New Hire Orientations.
•Leads new hire set-up, including IT access, security, orientations, etc.
•Responsible for Office Supply, Prototypes and Comps and No Charge as well as all departmental invoices through SAP.
•Purchase new and replacement hardware and software through IS.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Should be a self-starter and have a keen ability to work on multiple projects with multiple individuals.
•Must possess pro-active critical thinking skills and the ability to take initiative, anticipate next steps and offer recommendations and solutions.
•Must be professional, flexible, positive, engaged, responsible, willing to continually learn.
•Must be team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with Global Marketing team, cross-functional teams and Regions.
•Must be highly detail-oriented, double checking work, with un-prompted follow-through.
•Must have strong and concise verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
•Must have the potential to assume increased responsibility.
•Able to handle matters of a highly confidential matter. Must be discreet.
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP (invoices), GERS (Expenses).
•Should demonstrate a passion for the cosmetic business
•International exposure a plus.
Education and Experience:
•B.A. required
•Position requires 1+ years of related experience in a corporate environment.
