About the Role
As the Fashion Editor, you will bring to life the vision and POV for all editorial styling in partnership with the Editorial Styling Director. You will create elevated fashion and trend-forward assets that ultimately inspire new clients to try our service, while keeping our existing clients engaged and excited to continue with it. You will be responsible for organizing and orchestrating weekly outfit builds against Merchandising strategies across all business lines including Women’s and Men’s. You will work alongside a talented and dynamic cross functional team that includes partners from Editorial Content, Marketing, Merchandising, Trend, Image Curation, Photo, Design and PR.
You will be excited about the role because you will…
• Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of merchandising strategies and across all business lines.
• Create and develop the product curation and styling POV for current and new businesses based on client segmentation, merchandising big buys, key trends, price point and style aesthetics.
• Possess the seasoned ability to take key inputs including marketing strategies, client insights and merchandising “big buys” to curate product and build outfits for marketing assets across all channels including acquisition, emails, website, social, PR and blog.
• Drive alignment between Merchandising, Creative & Styling teams from a product perspective to ensure all creative assets reflect the business strategy.
• Have excellent visual conceptual skills and are familiar with on-set execution including on-figure and laydown/pin up styling.
• Have excellent leadership and communication skills and are confident in collaborating and inspiring the work of others and partners across the business.
We're excited about you because you have...
• 6+ years of experience in fashion editorial, publishing and/or retail fashion space
• An extremely strong fashion and styling aesthetic
• In-depth knowledge of fashion, current trends, styling trends and fashion brands
• Knowledge of styling production and/or photo shoot production required
• Experience working on photo shoots including; on-figure and/or laydown/pinup styling
• Strong time management, interpersonal skills, and ability to multi-task
• Superb verbal communication skills and comfort in presenting to both large groups and senior leaders within the company.
• A positive, professional, and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude is required, as is knowledge of how to thrive in an ever-evolving, high growth environment.
