VISUAL MERCHANDISING - 40%
• Conceptulizes creative monthly visual presentations
• Drives innovative visual approaches across all store formats
• Hands on merchandising in lab setting for corporate leadership review
• Lead idea generation, sampling and purchasing of all props for all store formats
• Partners with Visual Merchandising Managers to elevate monthly floor sets
• Coordinate store signs with the Marketing department
• Develops and executes Visual presentations for special projects and corporate events as needed including BOD meetings and NYC showroom
• Manages full aspect of window and prop process as key stakeholder / business owner and decision maker for the Visual Merchandising team as it relates to windows and props
• Manages merchandise samples and delivery dates of samples for all of creative for both floorsets and photoshoots
MANAGEMENT OF PROCESS - 30%
• Manage and overseas all aspects of Retail Window sets ups and execution for all store formats from creative concepting to communication to field team for execution
• Manages monthly visual merchandising working sessions leading up to key milestones
• Lead Visual lab and Sample management for all of creative
• Manage computer files and facilitate visual process
COMMUNICATION TO STORES - 30%
• Create, document and communicate all window, ceiling and special collateral how tos for field team to execute against
• Works with outside vendors while sourcing and procuring visual props
• Overseas all content of Window communication to the field
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
• Cultivates a creative environment to engage our customers
• Manages lab facility partnering with creative teams on photoshoot style out needs, international and wholesale on space use and facilities on maintaining overall space
• Manages all sample needs for full Carters creative organization
• Collaborates and partners with Creative, Merchandising, Planning and Field partners
Experience and Skills
• Must have strong fashion merchandising and display talent
• Strong creative eye for fashion and color
• Hands-on merchandising of product and related fixtures
• Hands-on setting of marketing in windows, store ceilings, etc
• Understands key retail business functions
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe In Design
• Multi-task, self-motivated and deadline oriented with high level of accuracy
• BA/BS preferred
• Creative / innovation leader experience required with an ability to offer creative solutions
• Minimum 3-5 years of store visual experience is preferred with creative visual strategy experience required
• Travels to stores as needed to give hands-on Visual Merchandising training (30%)
• Travels to NYC showroom seasonally to assist with creative build outs
