About the Role
As the Styling Education Content Specialist,you’ll be an integral part of the Styling Field Operations team, reporting to the Styling Merchandise Programs Manager. Your role will be to inform, educate and inspire our remote Stylists through daily and weekly written content posted on our internal communications platform. In partnership with the Merchandise Programs Manager, you will strategically plan and craft material to help Stylists understand the current trends and inventory assortment offered across all lines of business - Women’s, Men’s and Kids. In addition to merchandise information, you’ll regularly write styling, wardrobing and Client note content to inspire and guide our Stylists to deliver the best possible Client experience. To be successful in this role, you’ll need impeccable writing, editing and organizational skills, as well as a strong interest in fashion retail and style.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will...
• Strategize, plan and write weekly Stylist-facing content around our product offering with the goal of educating and inspiring our 3,500+ work from home remote Stylists.
• In partnership with the Styling Merchandise Programs Manager, you’ll write weekly merchandise inventory quality updates for the Styling field.
• Manage merchandise education resources and pages for Styling on our company-wide internal communications platform.
• Assist in the development and management of the editorial calendar, themes and deliverables for all merchandise-related content.
• Assist in the writing, creation and maintenance of merchandise education and product knowledge tools and resources to drive business results.
• Partner with the Merchandise Programs Manager to create original editorial content that provides technical knowledge, inspiration, trend information and behind-the-scenes insights for our Stylists.
We’re excited about you because...
• You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Communications or Journalism.
• You have 3 years of relevant work experience, ideally writing professionally (blogs, social media, etc.)
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are able to clearly and concisely present information.
• You’re able to be flexible in your written tone and voice, dependent on the business need.
• You have experience writing about current fashion trends and providing styling advice through written content.
• You have experience and/or a high interest in fashion retail.
• You are deadline driven, able to meet tight timelines and effectively work under pressure.
• You are continuously open to constructive, developmental feedback.
• You are able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
• You are highly self-motivated.
• You are able to work full time in the Stitch Fix HQ office based in San Francisco.
