Title: Marketing Analyst
Reports to: Director, Marketing Technology & Operations.
Location:New York City
Overview:
The Marketing Analyst supports J.Crew’s performance marketing group by providing analysis on site traffic patterns, marketing channel performance, products purchased, and customer engagement. Using Omniture, Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, and other tools she/he will deliver critical analysis to drive business decisions, optimize marketing programs, support customer engagement, and improve customer experience. She/he will be adept at analyzing and synthesizing information to ensure marketing performance visibility on all channels and tests to facilitate sound decision making across all marketing initiatives.
The analyst will create robust bottoms up forecasts by channel by day, including traffic, conversion, and AOV and will also create customer forecasts for new and continuing customers. The analyst should have experience with data mart tools and attribution modeling.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure consistent tracking, analysis, and reporting of core website and marketing channel KPIs in weekly dashboards.
• Analyze and report on effectiveness of marketing channels and programs
• Continual deep dive analysis into marketing performance by marketing channel and customer program and surface recommendations for improvement and testing
• Manage the development of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing demand forecasts
• Own testing roadmap and assist with reporting on individual impact of tests as well as broader impact to all channels
• Partners closely with Data Science teams to maximize muti-touch attribution modeling across marketing channels
• Work in conjunction with finance and accounting on program P&L’s, modeling, and forecasting
• Develop processes to output analytical analysis on a regular cadence to key stake holders
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards ranging from high level executive summaries to in-depth metric specific analyses
• Support adhoc requests as needed
Requirements:
• 3 – 5 years with experience with analytics in an ecommerce environment
• Well versed in all aspects of business intelligence, marketing analytics, and customer behavior and value
• Power user of Omniture, Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, and other BI tools
• Experience with data focused marketing preferred and predictive analytics/models
• Strong quantitative skills, including financial forecasting
• Demonstrated ability to apply logical and data driven thought process to problem solving
• Ability to analyze and synthesize large and complex data sets down to key takeaways
• Strong presentation and communication skills
