Internal Communications Manager
The Communications Manager will lead strategy and execution of internal communications initiatives.
Main responsibilities:
• Drives all key aspects of Associate communication channels and messaging to facilitate engagement, awareness and sense of belonging.
• Fully manage and initiate strategic and creative planning of internal corporate
Communications.
• Have a strong eye on the future and make recommendations for improvements of internal communications tools based on insights, best practices and business objectives including simplicity, openness and collaboration.
• Leads information flow and consistency of message to employees.
• Leads content and posting on Avon U.S. Intranet.
• Establishes and manages internal corporate style and Avon branding.
• Collaborates closely with leaders and business owners across the business
• Leverages, optimizes and creates new and existing communication platforms, partnering with social media where appropriate, to ensure engagement messages are delivered to audience in most relevant, accessible and engaging way.
• Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of town halls, monthly management meetings, webcasts and other internal events including the development of content (agenda, presentation materials, executive remarks, etc.)
• Supports network of “communication champions” in facilities across the U.S., Puerto
Rico, and Canada to coordinate communications activities
• Creates content calendar to ensure cohesive regular messaging and information flow across channels.
• Leads Associate participation and engagement with social impact initiatives.
Qualifications
• BA/ BS required.
• 7-10 years of solid communications experience in a company or at agency with consumer goods clients.
• Agency background is a plus.
• Wordpress knowledge is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong influencing skills.
• Strong Interpersonal skills.
• Leadership skills.
• Creativity and initiative in solving problems.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at the same time
