Manager, Creative Operations, La Mer
Principal Objective:
A Manager, Creative Operations at La Mer manages La Mer global packaging and manages advertising campaigns for Travel Retail, Global Communications, CRM and Education from beginning to end, encompassing concepting, print, digital & social media. A Manager, Creative Operations at La Mer is a problem solver that know every detail of a project, from a strategic standpoint to the specific details of project management: timeline, scope and budget. Reporting to the Director, Creative Operations, this person is responsible for establishing, facilitating and maintaining workflow and communication between Creative and Education, Global Communication, Travel Retail and CRM Teams.
Responsibilities:
•Lead packaging concepting and development with Director of Packaging Design
•Lead end-to-end 360 campaign development for new product launches
•Work with Global Communications in brand artist & influencer collaborations
•Lead end-to-end campaign concepting for all La Mer CRM, Travel Retail and Education programs & campaigns.
•Manage interdisciplinary teams of copywriters, graphic and digital designers assigned to his/hers projects.
•Evolve innovative creative concepts into clear sets of deliverables to be deployed to local markets.
•Define the scope of projects (objectives, strategy, deliverables, schedule, and budget
•Oversee each phase of the internal and external approval process: including the approval of concepts, copy, layouts, final artwork, retouching, proofs and printed samples.
•Keep projects on track through clear task lists, issue tracking, status reports, and meeting notes
•Allocate resources weekly and working in coordination with other producers in prioritizing projects
•Lead meetings and conference calls, and effectively set up the presentation of creative work
•Communicate project issues and resolution to internal stakeholders
Qualifications
•Minimum of 6 years experience in project management for an in-house creative team or agency.
•Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
•Prior experience working on Campaign Projects (either Broadcast and/or Digital and/or Print)
•Has experience using MS Project to develop project plans and/or familiarity with equivalent tools
•Has experience with Basecamp/Asana/Harvest/Jira/Trello or equivalent tools
•Is a partner to creative rather than its police
•He/She is comfortable presenting creative work to senior leadership and running high level meetings
•Has a flexible attitude and can work in ambiguous situations
•Knows how to develop contracts and Statements of Work
•Is used to being the point person for internal or external clients
•Has advertising agency experience
•Is a natural leader with excellent communication skills
•Loves solving problems and managing conflicts
•Is comfortable managing technical/functional complex work. Prior experience managing Campaign Projects (Broadcast, Digital, Print)
•Has a deep understanding of project management, work flow and infrastructure
