Saks Fifth Avenue - Brand Manager
Role Mandate:
A Brand Manager is a manager level position for a focus brand that spans across multiple product categories. The Brand Manager drives business through motivation of the Saks Sales force and is accountable for the achievement of the overall vendor sales goals across all product lines.
The Brand Manager represents the 'face of the brand' and is responsible for technical knowledge of all vendor products, product training / education for other Saks Associates and product feedback to the Merchants / Stores. Must have in depth knowledge of customer base.
Responsibilities:
• Drive overall sales for the brand across all product categories through partnership with the Sales Team
• Develop and execute strategies to drive overall sales for the brand
• Plans should include category strategies for the brand and should be developed in partnership with the GM
• Build sales volume, establish and maintain customer relationships, effectively motivate a team of sales professionals and develop sales talent.
• Mentor Sales Team on strategies for acquiring new clients and expanding existing client sales to meet or exceed his / her individual sales goals
• Coordinate special orders, reserves and product movement between stores to deliver to customer requests
• Demonstrate expertise in customer base by having knowledge of top customers
• Reinforce shortage awareness and adherence to SOP as it relates to the overall profitability of the area
• Coordinate department efforts to maximize special events and trunk show focus days
• Develop partnerships with Fifth Avenue Club consultants and other Store Associates to promote line and increase inter-sell
• Represent the brand
• Develop and deliver training for Saks Associates on the technical aspects of the products (construction, fabrication, design, etc.)
• Provide feedback to Corporate Buying Office regarding specific needs, opportunities, sizing and customer requests to target future growth
• Act as a liaison between department and vendor representatives
• Leverage opportunities to share technical product knowledge to educate the customer on the characteristics of the product
• Maintain a strong floor presence while acting as a role model for Sales Associates by exhibiting the highest Customer Service Standards and modeling / managing to the appropriate selling behaviors
• Take advantage of marketing, sales and promotions by developing a robust plan for promotion and executing through the sales team
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated track record of customer focused sales growth
• Excellent selling and client building skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage, develop and motivate people which driving company initiatives
• Analytic skills to understand line goals and to develop supporting selling strategies
• 3+ years management experience with comparable volume or a proven track record of success managing a business in the service sector
