Description:
As a core member of the UA Global Brand Environments + Experience team, the Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for the conceptual development and design of engaging creative solutions that define and establish the strategic visual design vision and technical implementation of the Under Armour brand in global retail environments. Corresponding responsibilities include leading design work independently, campaign creation and adaption for retail environments, seasonal point-of-purchase development, fostering internal client relationships, preparing, as well as giving presentations and contributing to new business ideas. This role requires a strong understanding of the consumer journey, retail storytelling, and brand design systems – as well as expertise in brand identity, typography, art & photo direction, and contemporary design trends. In addition, the Senior Designer will collaborate and lead design initiatives with larger cross-disciplinary teams that include: retail marketing, brand strategists, writers, environment designers and outside agency partners and vendors.

vision development
• Ability to multi-task and utilize resources as needed (designers, production and agency partners) to execute tasks within a deadline oriented environment
Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with the Creative Director, Global Brand Environments + Experience, external resources, category & brand design leads to produce world-class retail consumer creative and experiences that elevate Under Armour’s brand across the global
• Earn the trust of teammates and leadership– Lead design initiatives as a collaborative effort with team designers, production artists and account managers to develop, communicate and execute a consumer story from the beginning concept phase to final completion with the release of air-tight creative assets/deliverables
• Elevate design to create original storytelling through use of 2D & 3D for consumer facing brand experiences that are in line with global brand guidelines and retail marketing standards
• Lead design efforts within a category or product segment to create original concepts and executions that are impactful and industry leading
• Communicate and present design concepts to internal and external audiences, design leadership and retail account leads
• Be accountable for creative decisions – Review designs from teammates and third party vendors to ensure that final assets meet established design standards and are ready for consumer facing execution
• Be looked to by teammates as the resident expert on current and future trends, color, typography, photography, and environmental design and activations for the consumer experience
• Find, retain, lead and grow junior design staff through conceptual brainstorming, ideation, design and creative development
Your background must include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of visual design experience, with 5–7 years rooted in graphic design, brand communication design, campaign development and environmental design in one of the following settings: retail / corporate / agency / design firm
• Proficient professional knowledge of brand architecture, retail, experiential and guideline development
• Experience providing art direction (graphics, photo shoots, etc.)
• Experience in motion design, live action and interactive design is a plus
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
• Expert command of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign). Working knowledge of 3D digital applications is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Ability to build files and specifications necessary for production
