SET THE COURSE
The Site Merchandiser is responsible for the performance of the eCommerce Men’s categories. This role creates seasonal online merchandising strategies that align with stores and brand initiatives. The Site Merchandiser will be accountable for achieving plans for the Men’s categories and translating analytical insights into action while enhancing the overall guest experience.
BE THE ISLAND GUIDE
• Responsible for the overall digital presentation of the Men’s category by merchandising, analyzing and optimizing a seamless guest experience to achieve financial objectives
• Develop seasonal site strategy plan based on brand direction, seasonal product assortment, internal learnings and competitive patterning
• Manage in-season business by daily tracking and analyzing of sales information and site metrics in order to identify opportunities to increase sales and site conversion, including: Landing Page feature and cue changes and revising online merchandising strategies based on trend, changing navigation, guest insights and executing category offers
• Report on business learnings to make recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners based on sales and site analytics
• Implement compelling merchandising, product placement and navigation strategies to drive product conversion
• Participate in the alignment of product photography, copy strategies and digital marketing
• Select the Men’s landing page features, navigation and email featured looks.
• Work closely with Web Creative team to develop landing page layouts, special shop concepts/ideas, navigation updates (shop by feature, shop by style, shop by collection) to support category initiatives and strategies
• Create and present weekly web hindsight document for the category; analyze guest behavior, site metrics and relates findings to sales/site performance; present recommended strategies for current and future business based upon findings
• Strategize new ways of executing category offers, cross-sell/up-sell strategies to drive volume
• Pattern other web sites, comparing product and functionality to our current site to influence future site updates
ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE
• Bachelors degree
• 3-5 years experience as a site merchandiser and web analytics work for an online retailer, apparel experience preferred.
• Familiarity with industry best-in-class benchmarks for Key Performance Indicators relevant to online retailing business.
• Strategic and analytical thinker with an ability to analyze and synthesize information, form conclusions and recommend actions
• Collaborative mindset across varying levels and departments with strong influencing and negotiating skills
• Achievement-oriented with demonstrated leadership potential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• High taste level with proven talent to create cohesive fashion messaging
• Experience in Omniture, Google Analytics or another web analytics tool.
