The Learning & Development Intern works as part of the People Development Team to create training material specific to our Supply Chain group. Tasks will include: creating E-learning content, how to videos, job aides, becoming familiar with and maintaining the Learning Management System (PlayerLync). This position offers a great opportunity to understand and gain valuable hands on experience within L/D in a corporate setting. This positions primary focus will be developing a new learning program for our Los Angeles Distribution Center (LADC) with new and existing training content to be distributed through our new LMS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create internal E-Learning content, training material and Quick Reference Guides
• Develop and maintain the project list of needed Training documents
• Create and develop function / department specific training videos
• Update SOP documents as needed to reflect new content
• Build out learning program guidelines and documentation for our LADC employees
• Ensure tracking mechanisms are in place for employee completion
• Build out employee communication plan for operational training calendar
• Support various projects within the HR Department including, working in the Learning Management System
• Support team in all training activities, such as logistics preparation, trainee/trainer support
• Actively participate in regular departmental meetings
• Work effectively with our HR Business Partner group on training needs
• Perform routine administrative tasks as needed and directed by the People Development Team

• Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite software packages and the aptitude to learn new software such as Articulate
• Proven ability to learn new software or technology quickly
• Previous experience with training content creation, curriculum development or instructional design preferred
• Previous experience with video recording and editing preferred
• Ability to bring energy and self-motivation to the performance of tasks
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong work ethic, positive, professional demeanor with the ability to work well with others
• Willingness to learn and ask questions
• Ability to communicate effectively to employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to travel to our LADC facility in California, throughout the summer
• Enrolled in one of the following:
◦ Last Year of a Four year degree program
◦ Last semester of a 2 year degree program
◦ Graduate Degree Program
• Demonstrates strong verbal and writing communication skills
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently
• Willing and able to learn and have fun!
