Warby Parker is on the lookout for a creative self-starter to join our Social Innovation team. Our ideal candidate is a sharp-as-a-tack generalist with a strong interest in social and environmental sustainability. As the Social Innovation Associate, you’ll support and lead a variety of high-impact projects that flex both the left and right sides of your noggin. You’ll also get to work closely with a number of departments across our company—specifically the Supply Chain, Retail, and Brand teams. Sound like your dream job? Read on!
What you’ll do:
• Manage Pupils Project, Warby Parker’s rapidly growing school-based vision program
• Take charge of our company’s impact reporting using environmental, social, and governance metrics
• Lead our Do Good volunteer program throughout all Warby Parker locations
• Manage company-wide sustainability initiatives, including our carbon neutrality program
• Work closely with our Supply Chain team and with our manufacturing facilities to support Warby Parker’s Social Compliance program
• Oversee our third-year anniversary trips program for employees
• Coordinate and assist with any additional Social Innovation programs and activities
Who you are:
• Backed by 3+ years of professional experience, including some work in a project management role
• Extremely organized, detailed-oriented, and proactive
• A natural problem solver and strategic thinker
• An empathetic individual who enjoys working with a wide range of personalities types and people from different backgrounds
• An excellent communicator—in person, over the phone, via email, the whole shebang
• Able to work with a sense of urgency and prioritize tasks in order to maximize impact
• A strong project manager who can juggle many different projects at the same time Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
