Director, Global Promo Marketing, Origins
PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE:
Develops and executes the Global Promotional Marketing Vision and Strategy for Origins inclusive of key Holiday moments, Retailer and Channel exclusive programs and Paid Sampling programs. All programs to include consumer-centric 360 campaign activations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Partner with the Vice President to develop innovative promotional programs that support the global marketing calendar and the brand’s key strategic objectives with strong storytelling, and a complete 360 activation to recruit new consumers and reward our loyal consumers.
•Utilize strategic thinking, creativity, and innovation in planning and building strong programs through close collaboration with global partners and cross-functional teams. Lead discussions with all Regions to incorporate market and local business priorities in conjunction with brand and company initiatives.
•Lead the development and execution of Holiday, CNY, T-Mall 11.11, Taiwan SA & MD, Mother’s Day, Earth Month/Day, Recruitment Sets, Winter Skincare, Breast Cancer Awareness and Everyday Gifting. Lead program from inception to market always ensuring program stays on track and provide resolution when development isn’t moving forward.
•Have a digital first mindset in creation of all programs and campaign planning. Have complete knowledge in social media and be an active user in order to have an understanding of what is needed to win in Promotions.
•Work with VP to drive Creative 360 meetings to collaborate with Creative and Consumer Engagement teams to identify digital first, consumer engagement strategy for all digital (social, in-store and advertising) support elements for assigned programs to ensure there is a new story each season with a cohesive message at all consumer touch points.
•Solicit feedback after all Promotional campaigns to identify what worked and what needs to be evolved to be successful in all Regions.
•Responsible for working with the Assistant Manager to develop cost feasibilities for all programs, reducing costs where possible. Monitor progress and question inconsistencies.
•Responsible for the Everyday Gifting and Shopping Bag Programs working with Design, Corporate Print Purchasing and Visual Merchandising. Recommend new elements to enhance the programs for holiday and year-round.
•Consistently executes programs on time, ensuring we meet all key milestone development dates of all Promo program timetables. Major focus will be resetting process and starting programs earlier to ensure appropriate time to develop and deliver.
•Work with Design and Packaging to brainstorm new breakthrough innovative packaging, component and vehicle ideas.
•Lead PPD discussion in conjunction with Assistant Manager, driving program development and ensuring programs stay on track. Lead resolutions for challenges that arise.
•Oversee the writing and posting of Global Offerings for assigned programs, communicating the overarching strategy for each season based on product priorities. Provide affiliates with accurate, timely information and updates regarding all aspects of the program.
•Analyze and evaluate forecast recaps.
•Prepare Creative Turnover presentation each season and present to creative support groups.
•Work with NOAM on pricing strategy for all sets.
•Monitors competition to identify any gaps, should be well versed in NPD.
•Prepare and execute (in conjunction with Assistant Manager) all necessary paperwork for promotional program execution including Fact Sheets, Business Unit Notes, CPMS, Merchandising / Creative program Notes and program postings on the GMW.
•Manages the Scenting and Music programming for Free Standing Stores Globally.
•Responsible to help foster the growth and development of the Assistant Manager on the team.
•Assist in preparation for Senior Management meetings, retailer presentations and Regional Round Tables.
•Assist Vice President with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
•8+ Years related experience.
•College Degree required.
•Excellent Organization, communication and follow-through skills are needed.
•Should be a self-starter and have a keen ability to work on multiple projects with multiple individuals. Strong organizational skills.
•Must be an excellent team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross-functional teams.
•Must be highly detail-oriented with un-prompted follow-through and ability to multi-task. Appreciation for a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
•Must have the potential to assume increased responsibility.
•Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. IBM, AS 400, IPS, GMW, CPMS, and NPD to be learned
