Overview
The Copywriter, Digital is responsible for writing copy and messaging across organic social media platforms and paid media units. This individual is also expected to partner and work closely with art directors, copy manager and larger social team to brainstorm content on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
The Copywriter, Digital will be responsible for writing copy and messaging across organic social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram/Instagram Stories, Twitter, Facebook/Facebook Live, Google+, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn. Additionally, s/he will write copy for paid media units.
This individual will concept social first content with creative team. S/he will partner with art directors, copy manager and larger social team to brainstorm content for monthly calendar. S/he will partner with the larger strategy team to help develop individual social channel strategy. This individual will attend social media meetings, note any copy changes and execute quickly. S/he will manage copy and edits for visual calendar in Spredfast. S/he will write and edit copy for all regional/geo-targeted requests. S/he will write Instagram copy in the CMS tool for review and approval. In addition, s/he will be on call to cover live events on relevant social platforms. The Copywriter, Digital will write copy for CSR initiatives on social media and Tiffany.com. S/he will work closely with the art directors to create storyboards for Instagram Stories content.
In addition, s/he will research what competitors are doing in the social/digital space and be aware of current and forthcoming trends.
Required Qualifications
• At least 4 years of copywriting experience.
• A clear understanding of social media content strategy.
• Competency in writing accurate, compelling and succinct copy with an attention to grammar, SEO and brand guidelines.
• Ability to generate creative, engaging and witty copy and concept approaches, developing multiple solutions for a single assignment.
• Capability to meet extremely tight deadlines while multi-tasking and managing a high volume of projects.
• Experience working with fashion or luxury brands.
• Writing clips that demonstrate a broad range of styles and the ability to quickly adapt to the Tiffany voice.
• Proficiency with PC and Mac platforms and Microsoft Office programs. Experience with Keynote is helpful but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
• A broad liberal arts education or equivalent work experience. B.S. or B.A. in Journalism, English or Creative Writing preferred.
