Responsible for developing/driving analysis and financial models to ensure consistency, accuracy, and relevance for company decisions ranging from operational in nature to M&A, and internal strategic initiatives across the organization (Merchandising, Finance, Planning, Marketing, Production, Operations, etc).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide ad hoc analysis by request to cross-functional partners leveraging complex financial models along with advanced analytical tools.
• Provide support and ongoing ownership of the corporate long term operating model.
• Utilize appropriate methodologies and toolsets to drive and deliver decision support insights across the enterprise
• Inform Team / Communicate to Business Partners the analytical findings with proposed actions or next steps
• Works to transform the company’s operational reporting system into Interactive Visual Dashboards through partnership with IT and business leads.
• Data Sourcing ( Directly or Indirectly through partnership with IT or other business partners) for all teams analytical projects
• Assist in implementation and training of various tools from complex excel models to various business intelligence tools
• Consistently research and recommend appropriate technology and techniques to support a world-class FP&A Team
• Serve as Analytics resource for balance of organization
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Statistics/Mathematics)
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
• 2+ years of relevant business experience with a focus on financial analysis
• Proven Analytical and Critical thinking skills, sound number sense, driven curiosity
• Strong understanding of company financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Knowledge of various valuation techniques including discount cash flow and comparative multiple analysis.
• Sound Business Acumen ; proven understanding and or working knowledge of Retail Industry
• Familiarity/Understanding of various statistical terminologies and methodologies (Monte Carlo analysis, multivariate statistical analysis, real options, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to lead projects/initiatives from idea development to completion
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
• Familiarity/working knowledge of our current higher-level analytical software (Tableau, Qlikview, Cognos, SAS, HSF, R) a plus
• Familiarity with various SEC filing to identify key company metrics and information
• Solid verbal/written communication and persuasion skills ; ability to translate complicated analytical output into vivid decision-driving facts (tell the story)
• Self-motivated and resourceful with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
• Proven track record working cross-functionally with peers and mid to upper management levels
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
