Wrangler is looking for a Sr. Digital Merchandising Coordinator to join our rapidly expanding ecommerce team. This person is responsible for the day-to-day management and merchandising of products on our websites with an emphasis on increasing sales and profitability.
He or she is responsible for adding products to Wrangler.com and working with ecommerce marketing team to get the word out to our customers. Additionally, this role is charged with ensuring product data accuracy and inventory availability for his or her area of responsibility. Efforts will be focused on product catalog, category pages, product detail pages, associated product widgets, and on-site search results. Excellent communication skills are a must, as this person will be presenting information to various departments, diagnosing operational issues, and regularly liaising with brand marketing and merchandising teams, customer service, and operations to provide an excellent customer experience through outstanding product presentation.
Responsibilities:
• Maximizes product sales and profitability by developing and managing the merchandising strategies for area of responsibility.
• Identify and leverage category business opportunities based on industry and product trends, competitive research and consumer demand to ensure competitive.
• Review and react to sales performance. Continually seek new ways to drive sales and implement strategies to improve overall merchandise productivity and profitability
• Drive initiatives for designated merchandise area through all appropriate digital channels and coordinate go-live timing of new styles based on marketing campaign, inventory and production schedules; ensure a virtual floor set online that reflects a branded in-store experience
• Evaluate and maintain effective category groupings, sequencing, site search filtering and categorization strategies that facilitate efficient search, reinforce a positive brand experience and support effective visual merchandising. Utilize selling and analytics to identify opportunities to improve conversion, product page views, and basket size, all to drive incremental sales for areas of responsibility.
• Align merchandising activities with assortment, inventory and product margin goals and incorporate brand/creative direction in ways that optimize digital marketing performance.
• Develop a differentiated merchandising strategy across user segments by leveraging general and apparel-specific ecommerce best practices, our own site data, and consumer insights.
• Influence product/tech roadmap to automate merchandising activities wherever warranted and manage product set up and leverage technology (GBT) team accordingly
• Ensure that products are loaded in time for seasonal buying and marketing campaign dates. Work interdepartmentally to ensure that product copy, images, and video are consistent with established standards
• Coordinate with the ecommerce team for production and release of all product catalog content; identify and coordinate items for group sale, markdown and clearance into their respective promotional categories; manage catalog for size-outs and end of season merchandise, moving these items to the back of their respective categories
Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ year’s previous ecommerce, retail or catalog merchandising experience
• BA/BS degree in Merchandising, Retail Management, Business Management, Finance or similar analytical focus
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, advanced experience using Excel required
• Prior experience with web analytics tools
Preferred Qualifications:
• Applied experience interactive marketing and ebusiness strategies, channels, technologies, principles, and processes
• Experience with apparel retail
• Experience with project management best practices
• Marketing/Web experience associated with a national-level retailer
• Practiced in the basics of full-lifecycle merchandising initiative management
• Understanding of fashion industry and related retail channels
