Core Description:
The e-Merchandiser / Content manager role is an exciting opportunity to grow an exciting part of the COTY Luxury business: fastest growing, fast pace, entrepreneurial, at the junction of trade marketing, sales, marketing and digital, for a company with ambitious eCommerce growth ambitions in the coming years.
The e-Merchandiser / Content manager enables the e-commerce sales teams to achieve their eComm objectives and optimize the visibility and traffic to our brands on retailer.com, aiming to maximize both Brand Online visibility and perfect execution, as well as maximizing eBusiness levers (Traffic, Conversion, Basket Size).
The e-Com e-Merchandiser / Content manager defines the local standards and needs for perfect store on-line, and ensures optimal e-retail content is deployed on time and in line with specs, working with local brand teams and the global e-commerce team to execute beautiful brand experiences on retailer.com across c. 20 Global Prestige brands and 10 retailers.
The individual is responsible for systematically tracking the readiness and completeness of Digital and Marketing Toolboxes for eContent, eComm Banners, Social Media assets, Sampling, GWPs, PWPs… and escalating any gaps in a timely manner as well as finding solutions to maximize amplifications when faced with incomplete toolboxes.
The individual owns the tracking of on-line sales fundamentals (`CARS` = Content, Assortment/Availability, Ratings and Reviews, Onsite Search), including the action plan and follow-up with the respective account managers to close gaps / optimize our brands` visibility on retailer.com.
The individual owns the translation of national brand plans and trade calendar into e-commerce tailored concept sells to enable sales managers to secure strong support plans for our brands with e-retailers.
They are also working on programs to improve eCommerce performance not only at Brand Level, but at Portfolio level, leveraging COTY’s market leading position to drive scale and synergies when addressing content problematics or ratings and reviews.
The e-Merchandiser / Content manager is part of the local e-commerce team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ownership of perfect store on-line.
• Define the local e-retail content requirements and ensures optimal content is deployed to sales on-time,
across a portfolio of 20 brands with various initiatives and launches every month.
• Define local perfect store online standards and deploy across e-commerce sales teams.
• Track toolboxes and communicate on needs and requirements
• Track on-line sales fundamentals (`CARS`) with systemic action plan and f/u with sales to close gaps.
• Develop portfolio activations to drive portfolio gifting, ratings & review, content execution (eg Bazaarvoice, Webcollage…)
• Acts as a center of expertise towards eRetailers and Sales team to help shape tailored eBusiness plans depending on retailer challenges
• Serve as the primary liaison between the local brand teams and the local e-commerce sales teams.
• Guarantee the respect off all Fashion Houses guidelines.
Application Pre-Requisites:
• 4 year degree; advanced degree a plus
• 4-5 years prior e-commerce or digital marketing experience with proven track record of growth results.
• Affinity with Beauty and Luxury. Prior beauty category experience is a plus, but not a pre-requisite.
Special skills required:
• Open and accessible leadership style, with the ability to consistently achieve positive results
• Comprehensive knowledge of e-commerce landscape and KPI`s, digital marketing, e-retail- and brand strategies
• Comprehensive digital marketing skills, with specific expertise on driving traffic to e-retail and sales conversion
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw actionable conclusions from a wide variety of data points / KPI`s
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen to understand, and to translate the company/brand strategy to e-retailers and enroll our e-commerce sales managers in support of strategies
• Negotiating skills with the ability to influence up one level across Coty and the e-commerce sales organization
• Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, complex matrix and changing environment
• Ability to coach team members and delegate responsibilities
