This role is responsible for the strategic development and execution of emails for Athleta. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Email.
Key Job Responsibilities Include
Own & Manage Messaging Cadence
• Think customer first
• Own email messaging cadence, segmentation, drop times, and change management
• Think creatively and push the envelope with email storytelling & content integration
Drive Strategy and Innovation
• Own in-season briefing process including planning seasonal messaging strategy and partnering with creative, and production teams to execute
• Lead testing and segmentation strategies including development of testing plan, test design, test execution and reading test results
• Passion for mobile innovation
Champion Process & Flawless Execution
• Responsible for flawless execution via QA and process definition
• Drives team towards more efficient and effective process
Key organizational relationships
SalesForce Marketing Cloud (email vendor), Athleta Site and Promotion Teams, Digital Media Team, Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, and Production
Leadership and Technical Skills Needed for the Position include
• Passion for Athleta and the retail/fitness industry and a track record of being customer focused
• Relentless attention to detail and quality assurance
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, deal with ambiguity, and prioritize multiple projects
• History of creating effective cross-functional partnerships
• Experience interpreting key metrics to inform marketing strategies
• Strategic thinking & solid analytical skills
• Omniture experience (or other analytics platform experience)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills especially the ability to glean insights and tell a story from data
• Experience working with an email vendor (optional; highly desired)
Minimum Qualifications
• 3-5 years of marketing, CEM/CRM, or email vendor experience
• Strong excel and analytical skills
• Ability and willingness to quickly learn tools and processes
• Drive and flexibility with schedule to meet business demands
• Ability to multitask & juggle multiple requests and project in a fast paced work environment
• Creative & innovative thinker with experience in content & brand storytelling
