Overview
The Manager - Media Relations is responsible for national media outreach and PR events (media and influencer focused) in the United States and Canada. Their objective is to secure editorial coverage on Tiffany products and new collections through product placement and editorial features on the Tiffany brand and elevate the brand through compelling presentations and events. Collection categories include jewelry, watches, accessories, home & accessories. Manage Tiffany’s external agencies and work with external partners. Develop compelling media and influencer events and programs that engage the print and digital media and create desirability for the brand and its collections
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute public relations programs aligned with the global PR strategy and NA sales goals
• Generate positive publicity through print and digital editorial, third party endorsements, influencers and media events
• Proactively pitch coverage on key collections and events
• Expand Tiffany's presence within the realm of social media, making sure the brand is engaged with the social media community while continually looking for new ways to collaborate and develop content with digital influencers
• Manage national media relations team while fostering a collaborative, productive, and high performing environment focused on growing young talent
• Foster internal relationships and collaborate with cross functional teams, present credible NA point of view
• Develop and manage project budgets, and contribute to PR team's annual strategic plan and budget development
• Develop event concepts and manage event production of media and influencer related presentations and events
• Foster existing and develop new relationships with print and digital media and influencers
• Leverage media buying opportunities and collaborate on custom content and added value programs
• Contribute to strategic partnerships
Qualifications
• 7-10 years of media relations/PR experience with focus on luxury goods or jewelry
• Creative thinking, persuasive selling through good understanding of media relations
• Undergraduate college degree
• Well organized with strong attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork
• Ability to model agility
• Ability to create a positive work environment
• Ability to manage and operate under tight deadlines
• Ability to manage budgets on multiple projects
• Non-traditional work hours including nights and weekends when necessary
• PR agency experience a plus
