POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of sales management team the Key Account Sales Manager provides leadership and vision to maximize sales and profitability. This role will be accountable for the business results and execution of key brand initiatives. Candidate must bring a track record in managing a successful business and proven experience in strategic sales and business planning with Department Stores. Outdoor industry awareness will complement the professional skills required to excel in this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage Key Account Team of 4 people.
• Responsible for driving the wholesale sales strategy of Macys Inc. for The North Face.
• Partner with Director of Sales in the strategic planning and go-to-market process.
• Works with Director of Sales to manage preseason sales plan and implement seasonal objectives, sales meeting strategies, account appointments, pre-lines and account negotiations.
• Manages all aspects of the business relationship through cross department collaboration within TNF and Macys.
• Responsible for analyzing current business, knowledge of competitive landscape and anticipating headwinds facing retailer/industry.
• Provides product and sales input to help direct future product development.
• Manages preseason order book and rolling forecasts. Monitors shipment of seasonal order book, bulk management, drive re-order sales and anticipate End of Season inventory impact.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and seasonal fiscal targets.
• Candidate should have strong critical reasoning and problem solving skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively in negotiations with accounts and TNF management.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
• 7+ years of related professional experience.
• BA or BS degree.
• Department Store sales or buying experience.
• Experience working with product development and product merchandising.
• Experience running a team with proven ability to manage a broad range of tasks and prioritize deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and present to a group.
• Experience executing a go-to-market strategy.
• Travel required: 20%
