About the role:
As a member of our marketing PR team, you will be involved in the end-to-end process of telling stories about our product and business. From developing the ideas to owning the relationship with press, you will help to spread the word about our technology to our end users. You will work across different teams such as engineering, product, data, sales, customer success and communications to help apparel retailers shine brighter by using EDITED.
About you:
You are an effective communicator, creative, goal-oriented and metrics driven. You’re passionate about telling stories about product and apparel retail, just as you are excited about seeing how technologies change and shape the way retailers do business.
Responsibilities:
• Work on content creation, and message distribution through our communication channels.
• Build and maintain close relationship with press and industry influencers.
• Help to develop and refine press briefs.
• Work with company spokespeople to continue to build our profile and drive our message.
• Seek out top opportunities for communicating EDITED expertise through industry events, conferences, awards or podcasts.
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience in communications or journalism.
• Editing experience, patience and precision in refining and drafting copy.
• Great team player with proven success in connecting various teams across organizations.
• Ability to distill technological advancements into easy-to-understand concepts and bring them in front of relevant technology, business and industry media.
• Experience working with business, technology, industry and consumer media in strategic communications and product launches.
• Excellent technical aptitude - comfortable working with numbers and performing analyses.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and work effectively to meet tight deadlines.
• An interest or background in fashion or retailing.
Desirable:
• Experience in either b2b or technology marketing.
• Agency background with knowledge of how agencies work.
• A solid network and relationships with relevant journalists in top business, technology and industry publications.
