Job Description
• Support Director of Event Marketing with creative concepting of key national initiatives and local marketing efforts for Saks full-line stores.
• Manage the planning of events for multiple divisions of the business (e.g. Men’s, Beauty, Accessories).
• Support the ideation and development of event marketing programs for corporate initiatives (ie. Promotional Focus Weeks and Added Value partnerships).
• Liase between all Saks full-line stores, vendors and merchants to support store marketing efforts to deliver upon desired outcome (press placements, social media engagement, sales).
• Support store marketing event planning for national and local events including development & management of store communication, creation/communication of turnkey event formats & event directives, event details, budget and recap process.
• Execute marquee events: hosting weekly status calls/meetings, invitation (hard copy and digital) development, event list curation, décor & activation design, catering, music, maintaining logo placement/standards and fashion show production (as applicable).
• Manage event budgets & seasonal vendor chargebacks for events for all Saks full-line stores, and support with monthly departmental reporting.
Qualifications
• College degree
• Relevant event experience in fashion, luxury, hospitality, entertainment or retail industries. Ability to manage several projects at one time in an organized and highly effective manner. Strong sense of urgency and an ability to problem solve are also critical.
• 4-5 years event-related experience
• Budget management skills, experience managing individuals.
