Director Global Licensing & Business Development - CALVIN KLEIN
The Director of Global Licensing & Business Development is responsible for overseeing the business relationship and development strategies, of ensuring licensed business growth and meeting financial targets. This position will provide management for all Home licensed businesses.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
• Oversee the business relationships, distribution and business growth strategies for North America & Global Licensees
• Directly manage new and existing Licensee contracts
• Assist with financial budgeting process; lead the development and execution of semi-annual Budget presentations and present to Senior Management as necessary
• Maintain on-going analysis of licensees financial forecasting, sales trends, and business trends; present to Sr. Management as required
• Partner with the President of Global Licensing / Legal /Finance to execute and negotiate new agreements, renewals, and amendments
• Assist President with large scale deals and other growth initiatives
• Spearhead business development opportunities and other ad hoc initiatives
• Align on business strategies with regional offices and owned & operated divisions
• Travel key markets / attend line openings
• Oversee Home Licensing team, delegate appropriately, and foster team member development
• Monitor licensee adherence to contracts regarding product, pricing, distribution, use of the mark, etc.
• Examines new product opportunities and product extensions
• Review and oversee all new account requests, account approvals, maintain up-to-date door distribution matrix for department stores, maintain FSS/SIS matrix for all divisions.
• Oversee licensee growth activity in emerging markets and provide information on applicable development in those markets.
• Supervise all special projects related to Home Licensees
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in Licensing at a fashion brand, minimum 3-4 years in the Home licensing industry
• Knowledge of the retail and competitive brand landscape
• Experience with overseeing contract compliance
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills
• Strong written and communication skills
• Experience with merchandising plans
• Strong Financial Acumen
• Experience working with international offices/partners
