Responsibilities
The Sr. Account Executive’s main focus is to develop relationships and sell the division’s line of products and services to established key off-price/special sales accounts. They are responsible for extensive amounts of sales analysis, negotiating, and strategic planning. Offerings to key customers should be data oriented and helped to build effective and profitable partnerships. The Sr. Account Executive is expected to execute sales strategies and consistently deliver positive results.
BUSINESS ANAYLSIS:
• Analyze sales, present line to buyer and create assortment plan to create profitable volume growth.
• Prepare and analyze weekly selling reports including: open to buy, retail updates, item selling, branch and regional sales and stock ratios, shipping and purchase order for both accounts and provide weekly recaps to the Senior Leadership team.
• Maximize account and brand profitability; identify and react to new opportunities and build momentum within the organization internally and externally to execute programs.
• Manage sale of excess inventory in a timely manner at the optimal price
• Keep abreast of competitive selling information for accounts
FORECAST:
• Forecast accurate gross margin projections monthly.
• Expertly manage Open-to-Buy (OTB), forecasts and projections weekly in collaboration with the planning team
COMMUNICATION & PARNTERSHIPS:
• Develop Partnerships to drive business at accounts for our key initiatives while aiding in growing the customer’s business.
• Lead Strategy presentations for Management Meetings with internal/external teams and provide business overviews and data analysis for key market appointments.
• Communicate with store divisions, buyers and customer service on a daily basis.
• Manage cross-functional team communications with stores, customer service, production, planning and internal management.
• Prepare all customer orders for customer service and customer logistics to enter into our internal systems and oversee order confirmation/shipping/charge backs
• Work directly with CS to insure that bulks are cancelled, distro’s are allocated, and orders are shipped within the scheduled ship window.
• Work with Merchandisers to develop special makeup items aligned with Brand by season.
• Work with planning on inventory levels and excess production.
• Responsible for monthly distribution and assortment of merchandise
• Insure that all orders are confirmed in a timely manner
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree – marketing, business administration preferred – other degrees considered
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills – ability to recommend data driven ideas for key accounts
• 3-5 years as an Account Executive experience preferred
• 2-4 years retail experience preferred
• Sales Experience with Wholesale Major accounts preferred, Men’s or Denim Category Experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications – Excel a must – VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables and formulas and PowerPoint experience mandatory.
• Able to adapt to a fast pace ever changing environment
• Possess a sense of urgency and client service oriented perspective
• Attention to detail, strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Collaborative team player with other divisions within the company (i.e. merchandising, design, product development and production)
• Self driven sales executive with strategic mindset, follow through and execution of strategy.
