The Marketing Assistant will support the Cobra Puma Golf Marketing Team as needed under the direction of the Marketing Manager, Retail & Events and Sports Marketing Manager. This includes the bi-annual 'checkpoints' for fittings/scripts, seasonal ordering of Cobra Puma Product (via excel) and occasional manual needs such as unpacking, sorting and distributing product to players, Media, and other shipping needs. The position will additionally implement Point of Purchase (POP) and other initiatives for retail and event marketing.
• Ensure marketing team has resources and support to complete initiatives in line with company goals.
• Support Tour Manager and Company needs by being flexible and responsive to demands of busy tour season by proactively ordering, sorting, distributing goods to players.
• Support marketing events such as PGA Show, Sales Meetings, and VIP Events, includes some weekends.
• Organize and coordinate product for timely delivery of apparel prior to tournaments, photo shoots, etc.
• Organize product orders via excel spreadsheet and track cost, order, shipments of outfitting professional athletes and media.
• Works with vendors to help create and implement in-store marketing product displays, retail kits, etc.
• Drafts communications for internal and external marketing communication to sales, marketing, media, vendors, players, and internal team members when needed.
• When needed, works in warehouse supporting team with shipping, packaging, organizing products or displays for players, stores, events, media, etc. May do food runs for lunch meetings and personally deliver goods to wholesale customers.
• Manages inventory of marketing sample clubs, POP displays, etc.
• Keeps management advised of schedules, delays, completed goals and challenges in a timely matter with a solution oriented approach to problems.
Qualifications
• Bachelor�s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business or equivalent with a preferred emphasis in Communications and/or Marketing
• 1+ years exposure or experience with brand, product or retail marketing
• Familiarity with golf and/or sport industries strongly desired
• Strategic and creative thinker who is outgoing with the ability to be flexible and positive while handling multiple priorities.
• Must possess strong communication skills including excellent writing verbal and organization skills
• Proven ability to work independently and multi-task while taking direction from multiple team members while maintaining an organized list of priorities
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be willing to roll up sleeves and contribute where and when necessary for the team
• Must be detail oriented, resourceful, self-motivated and proactive
• Strong computer skills, with knowledge of basic MS Office programs, Lotus Notes familiarity is helpful
• A broad understanding of trends and technologies of golf hard goods and apparel as well as competitor products is desired
