Overview
Manages the creative development and execution of trade and consumer promotional activities for the overall Canadian innerwear market, as well as other Hanes-related licensee and international needs.
Reports to Director, Brand Creative. Key interfaces are with SBU Marketing, Brand Management, Operations Planning, Forecasting, Field Sales, Sales Administration, Purchasing, Creative Agencies, Adverstising Agencies, Promotional Agencies and other outside vendors as required.
Responsibilities
• Independently manage the creative development, production and execution of consumer and trade efforts for all HBI innerwear categories marketed in Canada. Responsible for translation/adaptation of US packaging for the Canadian market.
• Work closely with the business units in the development and evaluation of objectives and manage the communications to outside agencies.
• Select ceative agencies for creative work, which requires understanding of structure, functions and pricing for agencies.
• Establish and manage budgets for creative jobs. Identify cost efficiencies and process improvements.
• Responsible for the production of point-of-sale materials and digital assets for all classes of trade. This includes organizing, analyzing, identifying scope or project, obtaining estimates, routing for appropriate Brand and Legal approval, maintaing fild and routing to Accounts Payable all invoices for this department.
• Develop and execute in-store retail presentations. In addition to collateral, retailer specific fixture development/production may be an essential compnent to the success of the brand presentation. Ensure that the presentations complement the brand look and feel.
• Coordinate consistent image, logo and trademark usage for all brands.
• Conduct status meetings for projects and maintain project status reporting to insure timelines are being met.
• Work closely with Purchasing Department to insure that all materials are printed efficiently, accurately and delivered to distribution centers in a timely manner. Attend press checks as needed.
• Work directly with vendors to organize, spec, approve and insure the production of high quality, cost efficient printed materials.
• Direct the development of sales materials, product packaging and sales service materials for all brands.
• Independently manage all visual assets used for the Canadian Market. Includes model/photographer usage rights, maintaining digital asset archive, as well as management of all photography shoots, as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
• Position requires travel to Canada regularly.
• Position requires a degree or equivalent experience, and 5-7 years experience in a creative management role.
• Requires extensive knowledge of photography, graphics, printing and other production processes.
• Must have experience working with ad agencies and have knowledge of their structure, functions and pricing frameworks.
• Experience establishing a budget for creative projects preferred.
• Requires excellent project management and problem solving skills to accomplish goals and manage several key projects / initiatives simultaneously.
• Requires strong timeline management abilities in order to meet critical deadlines, as well as strong interpersonal and writing skills.
• Proficient in Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Word, Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat.
• Subscribes to the highest standards of business ethics.
