Director of Digital Growth & Business Development NA
Overview:
Converse is setting a bold strategic vision to lead with digital to connect the marketplace by positioning converse.com as the first and best destination for authentic Converse products and experiences. Our Director, Digital Growth & Business Development North America will drive new business opportunities as well as the acquisition and retention of our consumers. This new role will require you to set strategy and deliver it, while rolling your sleeves up to make sure we are executing every day. If you are results oriented and play well with others, join us.
Responsibilities:
As a key member of the North American Digital Commerce team you are responsible for developing and driving our key consumer acquisition & retention programs, including development of new business models and partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the current digital retail environment and a thorough understanding of channel and market dynamics. If you are a consumer-obsessed, creative thinker, with a focus on results let’s talk. Key responsibilities:
• Explore new digital business models, bringing new digital revenue opportunities to the brand in North America
• Understand the digital landscape for both Converse and competitive product – helping to define our role in the marketplace
• Lead a team of digital marketers tasked with driving consumer experience in the digital marketing landscape – including channel marketing and CRM
• Drive acquisition of new consumers in the buy & consideration set through a portfolio of programs
• Drive repeat business growth through a consumer-focused retention and conversion strategy
• Align with global product and digital teams on key stories, driving a strong perspective for support needed to drive North American business
• Partner with merchandising and site experience team to drive effective sell-through strategies
• Influence key partners to drive elevate channel communications and creative
• Optimize & test across programs to drive improvements, using a data-based approach to program development
• Think about the future while driving success in the present with a hands-on approach and high-level of ownership
• 8-10 years of experience in a fast-paced digital commerce environment – preferably with a large brand
• Experience driving business growth across the digital marketplace – including alternative distribution and partnerships
• Experience leading a digital business development or marketing team, including the execution of programmatic marketing, SEM programs, consumer acquisition strategies and ongoing communication across channels (SMS, social, Email)
• Hands – on experience managing growth marketing in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Omniture with an ability to self-serve to draw insights for action
• Strong financial competencies in modelling and forecasting
• Passion for leadership and culture development
• Outstanding team leader & player with a positive attitude. Proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
