Overview
This HR Business Partner is a member of the North American Division Human Resources team serving as a strategic partner to the Foot Locker, Foot Action, Lady Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker and Six02’ leaders, driving HR initiatives. In conjunction with the Vice President, Human Resources, the Director is accountable to ensure the Foot Locker divisions attract, develops and retains a high caliber of talent appropriate to the needs of the business. Responsibilities
• Act as a HR business partner to support short and long term strategic plans of the business.
• Drive HR initiatives for the Foot Locker’ division in support of the Global talent strategy.
• Identify opportunities in partnership with the Foot Locker leadership team and the North American Division HR team and build plans accordingly.
• Identify HR needs and talent gaps for the Company – perform needs assessments to analyze areas of opportunity to address business or cultural needs.
• Ensure all current and future business needs are reflected in the development and implementation of HR strategies and that deliverables are aligned with strategic enterprise objectives.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts within the Company to ensure global objectives are incorporated into Foot Locker’ programs.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with global HR counterparts, specifically the North American Division HR team to ensure continuity of process, initiatives and organizational culture.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business administration, organizational development or a related degree required.
• Advanced degree in Human Resources or business administration is an asset.
• 5-10 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a retail environment.
• 3-5 years supervisory and project management experience preferred.
• Significant business and financial acumen.
• Demonstrated ability to create and foster organizational change.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with relevant HR systems, applications and tools.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making and may involve confidential or sensitive matters.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills.
• Excellent project management skills, particularly with respect to organization, prioritization and time management.
• Travel as necessary to support the business.
