Purpose: The Photographer’s primary role is to lead in the creation of all adidas –Indy product and lifestyle photographic imagery in support of the adidas –Indy sales channel. This role will be responsible for expanding core competencies within the creative art and digital image functions and will be directly responsible for reducing adidas –Indy’s reliance on external vendors for product photography and digital imagery creation. This is a specialized role that requires expert photographic and digital editing skills and the ability to establish and work within a technically defined framework in support of multiple workflows. This position provides consultative services and performs a variety of photographic and technical assignments in a quick-turn and deadline driven environment. The adidas –Indy Photographer collaborates with multiple departments throughout the adidas organization to establish and improve the digital image workflow and is responsible for researching new technology options to further align image production efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Directs the day-to-day operation of the adidas –Indy photography studio; serves as the point of contact in the coordination, scheduling and quality control for all adidas –Indy photography needs
• Manages the entire spectrum of adidas –Indy photography operations within both a photo studio and external location settings
• Plays a pivotal role in the development, implementation and maintenance of a digital image capture process that interfaces with multiple workflows
• Ensures the creation of all photographic images meet the highest professional levels in terms of quality, consistency, cost and timing
• Develops working plans, strategies and work processes to meet customer objectives
• Prepares photographic concepts, storyboards and/or preparatory shot lists in preparation of offsite location photo-shoots
• Collaborates with multiple departments in a cross-functional environment on a daily basis
• Consults with digital imagery manager and digital image staff regarding photography needs, audience goals, project deadlines, budgetary limitations and image concept to be conveyed
• Use desktop computer and accompanying Macintosh applications to provide camera-ready art and/or digitally formatted imagery for specific assignments
• Provides photo-shoot direction/photographs product for digital images

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
• Must be self-directed and have the ability to supervise and motivate others
• Requires the ability to establish and work within a technically-defined framework in support of multiple workflows
• Must be service-oriented to meet and exceed internal & external customer expectations
• Ability to gather business requirements and relay information to production support-lines
• Requires attention to detail and strong organizational and presentation skills
• Must be versed in both PC and Mac platforms. Mac OSX experience is a must! Must be proficient in a Macintosh environment
• Candidate MUST have an in-depth understanding of current photographic and digital editing applications & have experience with image production software such as Adobe Photoshop, Aperture, and/or Adobe Lightroom
• Familiar with pixel-level editing and compositing
• MUST have expert-level knowledge of techniques, equipment and materials used in modern photography
• Ability to respond quickly to multiple projects w/strong time management skills
• Requires a working knowledge of modern office methods and practices. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, write business correspondence, and effectively communicate via e-mail and phone systems
• Working knowledge of techniques, equipment and materials used in modern photography
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment without sacrificing the quality of the product or extraordinary service to stakeholders
• Requires a professional who is enthusiastic and proactive in leading change and offering innovative digital imagery solutions while working with a variety of personalities

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• 4 year degree in graphic design, specialized technology, photography arts and/or visual communications and a minimum of 10 years photography experience in a creative and/or technical production environment.
