GENERAL FUNCTION The L&D Director works closely with the brand functional owners to define and execute a brand training strategy that supports business objectives for LensCrafters stores.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Delivers program success criteria.
• Delivers brand training saturation.
• Maintains project scope, budget and timelines.
• Leads brand training for major and minor key initiatives by establishing standardized methods and procedures for delivery, evaluation, measurement and reporting (excludes selling, product training and onboarding).
• Partners with functional leaders to align training with the brand position and business objectives; ensures projects are integrated and delivered within timeline for execution and sustainment.
• Leads Brand Training from plan to implementation to ensure associates understand the process and follow it with rigor.
• Leads the evaluation and monitoring of materials, job aids and content for effectiveness.
• Assesses brand training requests/challenges and evaluates and recommends solutions.
• Leads and manages Vendor Relationships.
• Demonstrates acute planning and follow up skills.
• Leads team to gather and foster feedback from field leaders and associates, improving brand training saturation and consistent execution.
• Effectively communicates program design strategy, program status and issues with stakeholders.
• Identifies opportunities with training launch and refines based on key learnings.
• Maintains a strong connection to the voice of the customer.
• Supports other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Learning, Training, or Retail Leadership
• 10+ years Retail Experience
• Recognized as a subject matter expert, who works collaboratively to bring innovative strategies, experiences and approaches to life
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think strategically and creatively
• High level of energy and strong can do attitude
• Excellent “soft” leadership skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; persuasive
• Proven project management and multi-tasking skills
• Proficiency of Windows software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
