Responsibilities
Responsible for the art and science of merchandising from both a channel and a regional business unit perspective. These will include but not be limited to determining and defining the regional range and market place capacity, forecast management, commercial input documentation, key account story telling, system management, sales rep training, go to market planning, sku efficiency and productivity in a cross functional team that will require skill of working across boundaries.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Lead the merchandising of the Running Business Unit for the Run Specialty and Sporting Goods Channel.
• Lead consumer and customer insights as it relates to product feedback, also callout longer term implications of feedback
• Directed assortment creation for tiers and channels of distribution and refinement, ID longer term implications and needs
• Plan creation with marketing and sales operations.
• Market and financial analytics with regional leads
• Full accountability of GBU based on budget/forecast.
• Team voice in 1-2 year strategy planning
• Leadership, coaching and reporting manager responsibility where applicable
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required, with 10+ years of industry experience preferably in footwear buying and/or merchandising.
• Experience with product planning, sales forecasting and working to budgets
• Knowledge of channel segmentation, range architecture, product assortments, concept drivers, and product flow.
• Leadership skills with the ability to influence.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the desire to build lasting relationships internally and with retail partners.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential.
• Superior communication skills, especially presentation skills.
• Computer skills including advanced Excel
• Travel required
