The Marketing Manager, Global Marketing will report directly to the Executive Director, Global Marketing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for global marketing activities related to the lip/cheek category. He/She will work with the Executive Director, Global Marketing to drive development of marketing plans and strategies, utilizing their prior knowledge of marketing activities to help launch innovative new products and campaigns on time and within budget.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Assist the ED on the development + growth for the lip & cheek categories, creation of the global marketing calendar including development of pipeline, conceptual ideas, product development, marketing copy, COG analysis, pricing, SKU management, value analysis and liaising with cross functional teams.
• Work with the ED & cross functional teams to create unique point of difference for each launch.
• Assist Executive Director on the product to market process including but not limited to:
• Manage development of all paperwork necessary to initiate and manage projects
• Work hand in hand with cross functional partners to bring new programs to market.
• Work with global brand planning on accurate forecasting
• Develop COGs estimates in partnership with strategic finance and liaise with cross-functional team to ensure target COGs is met through the feasibility process.
• Prepare bulletins detailing new program introduction and execution.
• Ensure key timeline dates are met.
• Work closely with the ED and 360 partners to bring new marketing programs to market in store, in social and on digital platforms across all global markets.
• Oversee category and competitive analysis:
• Track and analyze past product launches and efficacy of marketing programs.
• Strategically analyze the brand's strengths and opportunities vs. competition
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the current global market environment and industry trends
• Participate in new product testing across categories and provide meaningful usage feedback
• Direct and support overall business initiatives and strategic planning including discontinuation analysis, management of excess inventory etc.
• Support ED, global marketing in various marketing projects
Qualifications
• 5+ years marketing experience in consumer products
• Experience in cosmetic industry, color cosmetics experience a plus
• Able to think strategically and creatively, conceptualize and implement new ideas
• Strong general management skills to drive projects to completion
• Strong analytical, creative, oral and written communication skills
• Proactive problem-solving skills
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can build, foster and nurture relationships with cross-functional teams
• Strong Power Point skills a plus
• NPD experience is a plus
