Manager, Consumer Experience and Events, La Mer

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for deepening relationships with existing La Mer consumers globally through various programs, retail opportunities, events, analysis and multi-disciplinary coordination. The Manager Global Consumer Experience is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about consumers, the luxury experience and someone who wants to innovate and further strengthen their strategic thinking, cross functional and regional management skills.
This role will be our “customer champion,” launching and optimizing current programs. This position offers the opportunity to make a measurable and meaningful impact on the global La Mer business while building our strong and loyal customer base.
Responsibilities:
Retail Marketing
• Work with Executive Director to help define global visual merchandising and in-store strategy to attract, engage and retain consumers
• Leverage consumer insights and analytics to optimize the in store and omnichannel consumer journey
• Help Executive Director execute strategy by working with Product Marketing, Creative, Regions, and Education, Digital Marketing and E-commerce
• Develops retail marketing calendar and implementation guidelines to capture priorities, promotional activities, traffic drivers, conversion tools and retention platforms. Include department store, e-commerce and specialty-multi formats
• Help develop service technology for in-store and digital use partnering with Education, Product Marketing and Digital Marketing,
Product Development
• Create innovative programs that maintain brand aspiration
• Enhancing sharing of best practices globally and encourage optimization of existing initiatives
• Help develop omnichannel programs driving offline to online potential
• Partner with Education team to reinforce a longer term customer-focused mindset
Consumer Events
• Develop event strategy for evergreen and new product launches
• Manage all aspects of events, including global event strategy and objectives, new event ideas, planning, execution and event recaps
• Collaborate with Global Communications on leveraging global press and influencer events into consumer-facing events
• Partner with Education to develop Event protocols
• Attend and evaluate competitive events and luxury trends, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to La Mer
Consumer Tools
• Help plan and implement a comprehensive retail consumer calendar to orchestrate all planned programs
• Use campaign history and other consumer insights to create appropriate segments for targeting and analysis
• Work with Creative team to direct and deliver program creative and provide implementation guidelines
• Work with Executive Director to develop technology needs to drive in store experience
Qualifications
• Position requires 5 years of related experience with proven success driving consumer focused strategy and implementing programs across channels.
• Able to proactively establish rapport, credibility and influence and drive results throughout an organization at all levels/across markets and departments
• Strong marketing and communication skills and ability to present persuasively
• Field experience preferred
• Solid experience of driving results across a number of complex projects
• Analytical skills coupled with strong written and oral communication to articulate learnings
• Innovative and creative thinking
• Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills (high EQ)
• Influencing skills (proven ability to persuade others towards an idea or goal)
• Experience in consumer-focused luxury environment is preferred
