There is an immediate opening for a Retail Inventory Control Analyst to be responsible for reconciliation of the retail store's inventory.
In addition, this individual would be responsible for the following:
Inventory Controlling:
• Partner with Store Managers, Loss Prevention and Retail Operations teams as necessary to ensure inventory controls are in place for the proper handling to prevent shrink and damages.
• Schedule and organize the companies’ three annual physical inventories.
• Manage and coordinate the physical inventories.
• Analyze and research physical count discrepancies.
• Research daily inventory adjustments between sub-ledgers (PKMS and IP)
• Maintain monthly reporting i.e. store to store transfers and unsellable damages
• Process freight claim payments and adjustments.
• Support the department in establishing, documenting and implementing new processes as needed.
• Process licensee vendor invoices and submit to account payables.
• 10% Travel required.
Accounting, Reporting and Analysis:
• Book monthly processed inventory adjustments.
• Compile reports for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close.
• Prepare monthly inventory movement reports. Monitor and adjust inventory movements to ensure accuracy.
• Calculate monthly inventory reserve, inventory capitalization adjustments and book corresponding journal entries.
• Reconcile physical inventories and book corresponding journal entries.
• Assist with reconciling purchases against Inventory Receipts.
• Assist with the inventory results reporting and analysis.
• Ad hoc reports as requested.
Individual must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or related work experience. Qualified candidates must demonstrate the following skills:
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Knowledge of accounting
• Knowledge of an ERP system.
