Analyst, Sales:Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As an Analyst on the U.S. Wholesale team, your primary responsibility is to assist the Sales department with detailed reporting that can help drive incremental sales. This includes Sell Thru reports are an instrumental tool that should clearly communicate successes and opportunities within US Wholesale. An understanding of retail reporting, retail math and the ability to breakdown POS data is essential to build strong-comprehensive analytical reports. You will be a contributor on the Sales Analytics Team by exploring new ways to report selling trends and market intel as the business changes, while helping to establish consistency and best practices as well as provide regular support for the Sales Team with multiple ranges of requests based on individual needs, while adding customized and relevant content that comes from critical thinking and analysis.
How You Will Move the Needle:
Create and develop detailed reports for the Sales team that will help drive business decisions. Develop dashboards to help key business partners make decisions and recommendations for their business accounts. Collect data from our wholesale accounts, validate and build reports as well as refresh presentation ready reports on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis. Share trends and market research and results with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, Planning, Merchandising and Marketing. Demonstrate strong teamwork skills through cooperating with cross-functional team members. Establish strong communication with other management staff, employees and others with whom the company conducts business. Facilitate multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment as challenging projects are a given.
Desired Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years
• Advanced Excel and Powerpoint experience is necessary
• Analytical and critical thinking
• Detail orientated to ensure all reports are accurate
• Clearly communicate detailed sell thru analysis, market intel and selling trends with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work, collaborate and function in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills is a must for maintaining large quantities of files in multiple formats
• Previous experience building dashboards and Adhoc reporting from raw data, that can help identify key learning and opportunities for growth
• Ability to foresee and plan accordingly to meet weekly, monthly, seasonal deadlines
• Willingness to learn new processes and help establish best practices
• Customer facing exposure is helpful
• Previous experience with POS data, SPS Commerce reporting, Cognos reporting is helpful
• Exhibits professionalism, honest, integrity, courtesy and respect in all dealing with fellow employees, guests and vendors
Educational/Position Requirements:
• Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Up to 15% travel
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Bend, lift and move product up to 25 pounds
